Amazing read from an accidental find. Kept me enthralled from beginning to end. It starts off a sweet romance and builds steadily to a darker fuller climax. It does not take the usual tangent of writing around bedroom scenes but you get swept away in the emotions and power of the book. Definitely recommended if you like Lora Leigh Breeds and the shapeshifting genre. Read it or be square 🙂

**Lost 1 star because the name downplays the amazing content and makes it sound like a wishwashy story. I would have gone for the Dark side of Rain or Secrets of the Rain.

This is a fun read!
I loved Manda, who is spunky and smart. And who wouldn’t want to have a hot, rock-star boyfriend? Can there be a man that caring and understanding, not to mention rich and super-human! I found myself enjoying the humor, relating to Manda’s fast-paced career, being drawn into the developing relationships, riding along with the fantasy, and then getting pulled into the fast-paced story. I can’t wait for more of Manda and Richard.

Unique, great potential

I liked this book. It was well written. Characters are well drawn and full. Manda and Richards relationship is well thought out. Supporting characters add greater depth. If you like passion, its not here though. If it were a movie it would be rated G. As for the title, it is a GRIMMS fairy tale. The dark type.

My problem is where the story stops. The book ends with many things unresolved. I wanted to know how the 2 main characters resolved things between them. I wanted to know how Manda got back together with her family.

If this story is to be a saga or more books are needed to complete the story, that should have been clear at the end. It wasn’t.

IF you are the type of reader who needs closure this is not the book for you. If you want a story to read that gets and keeps your attention, is gripping and holds depth, it suffices.

My rating is a result of being a follower of Shakespears writing guidelines. Beginning and middle are A+. Ending pulls it down.

Let me preface this review by saying that I’m not into mythical, sci-fi, or books of that type. I will usually either not even bother with them or lay them down unfinished. Having said that, I was completely drawn into this story. By the time I got to the point where I realized that it was going to be one of “those” stories that I don’t usually enjoy, it didn’t matter. I was already engaged with the book and the characters and I was not about to put it down. The author showed a great flair for writing in her debut novel and the characters in the book really meshed together. More importantly, the characters and the story were truly believable.

I hope this book is the first of many by this new author!

I picked this up on my way to an appt. and wanted a book that was more than the usual 35-250 pages you find for the free books and was totally blown away by it.

I have to say I laughed more reading this book than I have in a while. The entire book is really well written, the characters are engaging and it was hard for me to put it down!

I’ll add my hopes for a series to come out of this book as I would love to see what happens with the other characters!!

This book was very enjoyable. A modern day romance that had the perfect blend of paranormal in it, this book was extremely entertaining and very sweet. No smutty scenes present but I still felt like I was getting a good romance. I highly recommend it and hope the author makes this into a series. Awesome for a debut novel.
